Backgrounds sealed in, pumps covered with rock, put this in to create water movement, stopping any dead spots and to force waste etc up to the inlet on the bottom right of the background. Have put a fry tube in and also hidden 3 lenghs of tubing for hiddy holes Tried to do the rock so it has created passage ways in and out of the rocks also as many 'crooks and crannies' as poss. Took **bl**dy** ages, Im never happy What do you guys and girls think Always looks different in the pics but overall I am happy with it. Maybe a couple more rock in the right hand corner, or keep it alittle clear. Opions please. Cheers

Looking good Ozzy I like the way the rocks match the background. You could possibly put a few more on the right hand side - if you dont like it they can always come out. Easier to do it now than when theres water in there Keep us updated

Hooray Finished. Stones arranged to provide as many caves as poss. Ended up putting two more rocks in, anymore I think would look ott and you would start loseing the background. Three lengths of pipe plus fry tube hidden in the rocks, waters in. Took 240 litres in a Rio 300. Well pleased Just doing the cycle now Cant wait to get the fish in...

Reality is merely an illusion, altough a very persistent one.

Looks very nice everything blends in i think great choice of rock it will look boss when alge forms ontop of rocks. I would just go with to groups of smaller mbunas.

Am no pro with the fish but am so chuffed with my group of Ps Saulosi the movement of them and the way they use the tank is great to watch plus i have lovely yellow females and a few blue striped males. Maybe 20 plus of them and some colbots or cyno lions cove vinny

A group of Acei always add interest to a Mbuna tank for me. Always on the go, they shoal in groups and they are mostly monomorphic there are no dull females. Tank's looking fantastic, really comes together nicely.

Tanks cycling...just thinking, rather than buying juvs and poss not knowing what sex they are and then getting the wrong ratio mix etc, go for mature fish, breeding groups etc. Got the chance of a adult breeding group of Pseudotropheus Kingsizei, would these be a good starter for my tank? Would I be ok to put these in and add fish as and when they come up. Do the old adding in the dark, move rockwork etc. Thanks for your help.

if you add most of your fish in one go you won't need to move the rockwork from what ive found as they will quickly sort it between themselves. kingsizei are a lovely fish imo very active and best of all diamorphic so its easy to suss out the males and females! what other fish are you looking to go with?
